Discover the behind-the-scenes of the Milano Coffee Festival through an exclusive tour of the IMS Filters factory and La Pavoni production lines, accompanied by a selection of stunning photos.
This article immerses you in the fascinating world of coffee machine manufacturing, with a focus on innovations like the Apollo grinder, inspired by Mannerist architecture.
A visual experience that will captivate all coffee enthusiasts!

Recently, on the occasion of the Milano Coffee Festival, the IMS Filters Factory group opened its doors to a few privileged visitors.
In this factory, you can find notably the assembly lines for La Pavoni coffee machines as well as those of E&B Lab.

One of the visitors, a member of the Facebook group LaPavoni Lever Owners, sent me a complete file of photos and videos taken during this event.
I have selected and compiled for you the most interesting images and sequences.

In the morning, the visit was dedicated to La Pavoni machines.
Below, a selection of images showing the diversity of production stages and the precision of assembly.

Among the photos, you can notice Apollo, the new manual coffee grinder created by La Pavoni.
A design directly inspired by the columns of the Basilica Santissima Annunziata del Vastato, a masterpiece of the Mannerism style.

In the afternoon, the visit continued at the IMS Filters Factory (E&B Lab).
The company specializes in manufacturing precision filters for espresso machines and other professional accessories.

To learn more about their creations, I recommend their Instagram.

During the visit, La Pavoni offered a complete demonstration of assembling a lever machine.
Each step was filmed and edited in chronological order.

The final result:

You can see a La Pavoni equipped with a pressure measurement kit in the piston (an accessory presented here).

The visit also revealed the complete manufacturing process of filters used in portafilters and group head screens.
IMS Filters is recognized as the world leader in this field.

An industrial craftsmanship work, combining cutting-edge technology and mass production.

Based on the photos and videos, this event was a true immersion into the professional coffee world.
I hope to be able to participate myself one day in a future edition of the Milano Coffee Festival.
