Reminder about La Pavoni accessories
A few months ago, I told you in this article about the different accessories for La Pavoni coffee machines.
I explained in particular the advantage of choosing accessories (tamper and coffee distributor) with a diameter of 51.5 mm rather than 51 mm, the latter being admittedly more common but less optimized.
Recently, BPlus, a partner company of La Pavoni, announced an update to its products. This is what we will detail here.
BPlus x ANKOMN Partnership
One of the major innovations is the partnership between BPlus and ANKOMN.
This company specializes in manufacturing airtight storage containers for food products. Thanks to this collaboration, new packs are available for sale, incorporating these innovative containers.
Examples of packs offered:
- “Tamper + funnel” Kit: from $99 to $105 with an ANKOMN container included.
- Coffee distributor: from $45 to $57 with an ANKOMN container.
The ANKOMN box is designed to preserve coffee freshness (or other condiments).
It is airtight and allows you to completely remove air by simply turning the lid dial. By eliminating oxygen, you prevent coffee oxidation, thus extending its aromas and quality.

New BPlus tamper dimensions
Another update, more technical but just as interesting:
BPlus has replaced its 51.5 mm tampers with 51.6 mm models.
The goal: for the tamper to fit perfectly against the filter walls, thus limiting coffee residue stuck to the edges during tamping.
Special series for IMS filters
Finally, BPlus has developed two specific tamper series for IMS filters, renowned for their precision:
These tampers are designed to fit as closely as possible to the edges of IMS filters, and thus prevent coffee from sticking.
This is a problem I had already mentioned in this comparison.
