Apollo: the new manual coffee grinder from « La Pavoni »

The Apollo manual coffee grinder from La Pavoni combines elegant design with all-metal robustness.
Although complete technical specifications have not yet been revealed, the first images and videos suggest a high-end product, available in several attractive colors.
A new grinder by La Pavoni
The famous Italian coffee machine brand La Pavoni is launching its range of manual grinders called Apollo.
The first photos, published on Facebook and Instagram, show a design similar to the Kinu M47 :
- Adjustment dial on top
- Handle integrated with the body
- No lid
A wide, all-metal body

The Apollo grinder will be offered in several colors.
It features a wider body than that of the Kinu M47, entirely made of metal — probably aluminum or stainless steel.
The container, screwed and in one piece, is wider than the La Pavoni portafilter basket (i.e., more than 51 mm). This suggests a burr of approximately 53 mm, comparable to the Comandante MK III.
Video demonstration
The mechanics of the adjustment dial strongly resemble that of the Kinu M47, suggesting a possible technology sharing.

The Instagram images show carefully crafted technical elements and a high-end finish. The collaboration with BPlus seems obvious.
Information to come
I contacted La Pavoni to learn more. Their response: more information will be published soon.
So all that’s left is to wait… and hope to be able to test the Apollo as soon as it’s released.
